Acton-Boxboro Youth Hockey Association

2020-2021 Season Pre-registration

ABYHA & ABCC 2020-2021 Pre-registration

We understand this is a very difficult and uncertain time for many families and have decided not to make the full-season player fee a priority until we have more clarity on the fall schedule and public health environment. For now, we are requesting an ABYHA roster reservation fee of $250 to secure your player's position on their preliminary roster, plus a non-refundable uniform cost for those who need game jerseys.

This $250 roster registration fee is due May 15th, and will allow us to confirm and announce the final team rosters with head coaches by May 31st.

Your player registration is a critical component to the 2020-21 ABYHA hockey season. Given the current circumstances, if you wait until later in the spring or summer to decide it may be too late. We rely on your commitment to finalize the number of teams we can have and the number of players on each of those teams. By not registering, we are unable to guarantee a spot for your player. Your registration is vital in allowing ABYHA to plan for 250+ families during these difficult times. If for any reason the season is cancelled, we will refund your reservation fee and previously paid tryout fee in full.

Full-Season Player Fees:

Please note, we are still working to determine the final full-season costs for each age level. ABYHA is a non-profit organization, but we nonetheless have fixed costs, like ice time and league fees, that are independent of how many players we have registered in a given season. Please be patient as we gather information from these parties, so we can make decisions that keep our program affordable and sustainable for future seasons. That being said, we do not currently expect a large difference from past season's fees.

We look forward to communicating a more specific plan for future payments as we gather additional information.

Financial Aid:

We are very sensitive to what has already occurred and will possibly occur to our economy going forward.  Everyone is affected by these current events. As best we can, we will not allow economic conditions to affect our commitment to you as a community. It is our intention to ensure every child has an opportunity to play hockey if they want to, and our program has set aside financial aid funds for families that need it. If you have any questions, please email ABYHA President, John O'Connor at All financial aid inquiries will be held in strict confidence.
